(AP) The New England Patriots’ Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers is set to be the biggest ever in Super Bowl history.
It will be the highest-scoring Super Bowl in history, according to the Associated Press, which says the Patriots will be able to reach an average of more than 23,000 fans for the first time in history.
The total viewership is expected to surpass the total viewership of the Superdome’s final game, when the Indianapolis Colts won 24-21 over the New Orleans Saints on January 4, 2010.
The game is also expected to be viewed by millions on social media.
The Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, with both teams set to play at least one game in their own stadiums, according the AP.
The New England-Pittsburgh matchup will be played in the New England Stadium in the middle of Super Bowl week.
The two teams will be in town for a Super Bowl parade, which will start at noon local time and continue until 8 p.m.
The AP says the total number of people expected to attend the parade is expected not to exceed 100,000.
